# Using the app

> What you can do in Pelusium as a player—shipping, shops, and the Cargo Well.

# Using the app

Pelusium is a **web app** you use alongside **EVE Frontier**. Connect a **Sui wallet** on the network the app expects (the UI will tell you if something is off). This page is a **quick tour** of what you can do.

New to Pelusium? Read **[Get started](/get-started)** first for two short paths: **sell from your SSU** or **haul as a freighter**.

<Warning>
  Current preview deployments may pause final on-chain actions until EVE Frontier supports the world-contract behavior Pelusium needs for cross-SSU delivery. You can still use the app tour, browse the exchange, open every form, and plan routes. The pause happens at final submit/sign time, with an explanation page in the app.
</Warning>

## Before you move cargo on-chain

1. Connect your **wallet**.
2. Complete **[SSU & Pelusium setup](/ssu-pelusium-setup)** on **every storage unit** that will be used for **pickup** or **delivery** on jobs you care about.
3. Agree with your counterparty **in-game or out of band** on **what** is moving, **from where**, and **to where**—the app helps you **encode** that as a job and escrow.

## Shipping (freight jobs)

Use **Shipping** in the main navigation. That’s your **home for jobs**: see what’s open, what needs your signature, and create a new shipment.

* **Create a shipping job** — Define cargo type and quantity, pickup and drop-off SSUs, courier payment (and optional seller payment), timing, and who may take the job. This is where **money is locked** on-chain.
* **Preview before signing** — Even when final submission is paused, the form is still useful for checking the fields, seeing how Cargo Well pre-fills a job, and understanding exactly what would be signed later.
* **Plan the route first** — Use **More → 3D map showcase** to explore systems, choose start and destination, tune ship / fuel / cargo assumptions, and copy a proposed route before creating or accepting work. Details: **[3D route planner](/route-planner)**.
* **Buy from the Cargo Well** — When you’re creating a job, you can use a **planner** to line up **listed sells** by quantity and price, then apply a slice into the form. You still confirm everything before anything is submitted.
* **Job list & actions** — Depending on your role (shipper, courier) and job state, you’ll see actions like **accept**, **pick up**, **deliver**, or **cancel** paths the contract allows.
* **After delivery — SSU consolidate** — If your cargo shows under a **character** slot but the in-game SSU UI only lists **primary** storage, use **SSU consolidate** (`/contracts/ssu-consolidate`) as the **last step** to move stacks into primary on the same SSU. See **[After delivery — SSU consolidate](/ssu-consolidate-after-delivery)**.

Details of the lifecycle: **[Shipping & freight jobs](/shipping)**.

## Shop & Cargo Well

Use **Shop** to browse **player storefronts** registered on Pelusium—think of them as **in-game businesses** with a public page.

* **Open a store** — See their listings and notes; negotiate or follow their instructions.
* **Cargo Well** — A **market board** for one **commodity type** at a time: **listed sells**, **standing buys**, and tools to jump into **Create shipping job** with the right cargo type. It helps you **see depth and prices**; finishing the deal is still a **freight job** when you want Pelusium escrow.

Details: **[Shop & Cargo Well](/shop-cargo-well)**.

## Other useful areas

* **Register / manage a storefront** — If you sell from an SSU, you can set up how others find you (from the Shop flow).
* **Offers** — Coordinate with another party when you’re working out a trade that isn’t a one-click listing.
* **Standing buy orders** — Post what you’re willing to buy; others can see it on the board for that commodity.
* **3D route showcase** — A visual planning page for seeing route shape, hop count, ship / fuel assumptions, and copyable system order. The system dots are fixed map points: click them to select start / destination, but moving them around is not part of the tool. It is a planning aid, not an on-chain job action.

## Roadmap

The in-app **roadmap** page summarizes what’s stable, partial, or planned—so you know what to expect from Pelusium as it evolves.
