# Shop & Cargo Well

## Storefront directory

**Shop** is the **store directory**: SSU-based storefronts with a name, tags, and sometimes a region hint. **Owners** list what they’re willing to sell; **buyers** browse and then **coordinate**—in chat, mail, or Discord—how to complete the handoff.

Pelusium does **not** auto-move items inside EVE for you. It gives you a **clear place to list intent and prices**, and a path to **lock a real job** when you’re ready.

<Note>
  During preview periods, shops, offers, Cargo Well, and the shipping form remain visible so you can understand the flow. The app may pause only when you press a final button such as **Post buy order**, **Post sell order**, **Send offer**, **Accept**, or **Submit** on a freight job.
</Note>

## Listings and standing bids

* **Sell listings** — A line like “I have **N** of this commodity at **this total price in SUI** (or contact me for price)” tied to a store.
* **Buy orders** — “I want **N** units; I’ll pay up to **X SUI per unit** (or make an offer).”

Those are **signals** for the community. They are **not** a stock exchange that fills orders by itself. When both sides want Pelusium to enforce payment and delivery, someone **creates a freight job** with the right SSUs, cargo, and escrow.

## Cargo Well (market board)

**Cargo Well** answers: *“For **this** commodity, what are people quoting right now?”*

You pick a **commodity type** (the same categories you use when creating a job). The board can show:

* **Sell side** — Who is listing, at what **implied price per unit**, and in what size.
* **Buy side** — Standing willingness to buy.
* **Charts** — Help visualize **depth** and how the book **formed over time** from current orders (not a replay of every past trade in the game).

**Buy** next to a loaded commodity opens **Create shipping job** with that commodity type so you don’t re-type it. **Post a standing bid** is optional if you want to advertise demand. If the deployment is paused, you can still inspect the board and fill the dialog; the pause appears before the bid or job is actually submitted.

**Trending** (when you haven’t picked a commodity yet) suggests types where there is **current listing or bid activity**—handy for seeing what the market is talking about, not a scoreboard of “most traded in New Eden.”

If a **bid** and **ask** **could** overlap, the app may show a **hint**. That’s still **not** a guaranteed deal—you agree **who** creates the job, **which** SSUs, and **when**.

## Buying a larger quantity (planner)

On **Create shipping job**, after you choose the commodity, **Buy from Cargo Well** can **suggest how to split** your purchase across several listings (best total price vs fewest chunks). **Apply** fills the form with one slice; you can repeat or adjust. **Nothing** is reserved or delivered until you **submit** the on-chain job and the courier run happens in-game.

## Listings vs what’s in your SSU

The app tries to **keep listings honest** when inventory changes, but that sync is **best-effort**. Treat listings as **advertising** until a job exists; if something matters, **confirm in-game** or with the seller directly.
