# SSU & Pelusium setup

> Allow Pelusium to complete pickup and delivery on your EVE Frontier storage units.

# SSU & Pelusium setup

In **EVE Frontier**, your **storage units (SSUs)** hold cargo at structures and stations. Pelusium needs **permission** from the SSU owner to run **pickup** and **delivery** steps **on-chain** for freight jobs that use those units.

Think of it as: *“This SSU is allowed to participate in Pelusium hauls.”*

<Note>
  If your deployment is in preview mode, this setup form may still be visible and fillable while the final authorization signature is paused. That is expected: the app keeps the workflow visible so you can see what will be needed once final on-chain actions are enabled.
</Note>

## What you do

1. Open Pelusium’s **SSU / Pelusium setup** flow from the app (Shipping area has a link; the old in-app wiki route forwards here).

2. For **each SSU** that will appear as **pickup** or **drop-off** on jobs you care about:
   * Connect the **wallet that owns** (or controls) that SSU in the game’s linkage model.
   * Submit the **authorize Pelusium extension** transaction the app prepares.
   * Approve it in your wallet on the **correct Sui network** (same one the app is using).

3. Repeat for **pickup** and **drop-off** if they are **different** SSUs—both sides must be authorized for their respective steps.

If authorization is missing, **pickup** or **deliver** will **fail on-chain** even if everyone did the right thing in-game.

## Opening Pelusium from the game (SSU browser)

EVE Frontier lets you open a **web page on a Smart Assembly**—including a **storage unit**—from inside the client.

1. **Go to the SSU** in-game and interact with it (**F** by default). The **in-game browser** opens the **Smart Assembly** page for that unit.
2. If you **own** the assembly, you can set a **custom dApp URL** there (Pelusium’s web address). After you save, you and visitors can use that site **in the game browser** with the right **assembly context**—handy for signing hauls without alt-tabbing.
3. You need **SUI in your wallet** for transactions that cost gas, and **EVE Vault** is the wallet the Frontier dApp stack expects. The official guide covers setup, the inventory view for storage units, and opening the same flows in an **external** browser with the right link parameters: **[Connecting in-game](https://docs.evefrontier.com/dapps/connecting-in-game)** and **[Connecting from an external browser](https://docs.evefrontier.com/dapps/connecting-from-an-external-browser)** (CCP / EVE Frontier).

Pelusium still needs the **extension authorized** on pickup and drop-off SSUs (above). The in-game browser is **how you reach** the app at the structure; it does not replace authorization or the freight job steps in **[Shipping](/shipping)**.

## Tips

* Plan **which SSU** is pickup and which is **delivery** **before** you create the job, and double-check **object IDs** if you paste them manually.
